The village of Petten

The North Sea village of Petten, in the Dutch province Noord-Holland, was once independent but is now part of the larger municipality Schagen.

Petten, a quiet little village by the sea

There is always something to do in Petten, where fun activities and events are organized all year round.

At this time, the municipality of Schagen is working on improving the center of Petten. For instance, Plein 1945, the square in the heart of Petten, will soon be an even more lively place to be. There will be fun water features and flower beds, and there will be a permanent stage for musical performances, fashion shows, plays and other entertainment. The square will be dressed up with sustainable wooden benches with matching lantern posts, colorful terrace furniture and transparent wind screens. The square will be the beating heart of Petten, a sociable and fun place where there's always something going on.

Petten already has many great bars and restaurants, and in the future the now empty church on Plein 1945 will also house a restaurant with a sunny terrace. Do you feel like a fancy dinner or an easy snack? You can find everything you want in Petten. Read more about the developments in Petten on www.dorppetten.nl

Petten is the place to go for groceries. There is a supermarket in the town center, as well as some small shops and a bicycle rental.

Feel like being active? Why not head to the minigolf course or the tennis courts for a game.
